REACH, BPA, ISO
All raw materials that we use for not recycled products are approved raw materials according to various European and American regulations, which may come into contact with food products. The most common terms are REACH, Bisphenol A (BPA), and ISO.
REACH
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a regulation of the European Union, EC No. 1907/2006. These regulation requires the registration of chemicals. The Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) is part of REACH. According to statements of our production partners and our current knowledge, substances mentioned in the Candidate List of SVHC for Authorization are not present in concentrations above 0.1% w/w in the products we offer and are not made from recycled material.
Bisphenol-A (BPA)
Bisphenol-A is a substance that is/was used in many different products. With regard to packaging, it can occur in products made of, for example, Polycarbonate or PVC products, we do not offer both types. BPA is on the SVHC list which is linked to the REACH statement and is therefore regulated in the EU. The raw materials used by our production partners are free of BPA according to the statements of our production partners and our current knowledge. ISO ISO is a worldwide name for recording/documenting quality standards. In addition to the ISO, a country can also impose its own standard, such as the NEN inspections in the Netherlands. Almost all our production partners are ISO 9001:2015 compliant and many have ISO-5001 Energy Management.
PP
PP or Polypropylene (PP) is a sturdy, quite solid transparent plastic with a reasonably glossy surface. PP has a good water and oxygen barrier but is less crack and fall resistant, especially at low temperatures. PP is often used for jars and closures. A big advantage of PP is its durability at high temperatures, up to max. 90°C. PP is well resistant to a broad spectrum of chemicals, acid and alkaline products, alcohol and essential oils. Suitable for food. Heat resistant up to around 90ºC. Material density (gr/cm³): 0.91

Our 38 mm 2-start neck are ideal for juice bottles, the large opening makes drinking easy. The warranty valve cap requires a special device to click the cap on, these are available from stock. Both caps are also provided with a seal for first use. With the warranty cap, the tear ring at the bottom of the cap after turning it on under an edge that is on the bottle, as soon as the user unscrews the cap for the first time, this ring will tear free from the cap. After this, the cap can still be used completely, but can no longer be sealed.
